Jamaica Declares State of Emergency!

Masked men who were avid supporters of Christopher "Dudus" Coke, said to be one of the world's most dangerous drug lords, ravaged the streets of West Kingston Sunday, May 23, 2010. These followers were also said to have torched a police station and they traded gun shots with other security forces.

In short, what was this all about?

My Take:

Drugs and old fashion anarchy is what caused Jamaica and its state capitol to declare a state of emergency Sunday. Plain and simple.

What is going on with this world of ours? Drug trafficking is a world wide epidemic and this recent incident in Jamaica is further proof that while the Obama Administration fights drug trafficking in the United States, Governments across the World also share in his sentiments and efforts.
